Resumen:
In this work we present the morphological and photometric properties of the first galaxy cluster candidate detected using only data provided by the VVV survey: VVV-J144321.0-611753.9. This cluster candidate is located at RA(J2000)=14h43m21.06s and Dec(J2000)=-61°17m53.9s and is composed by 10 galaxies with Ks magnitudes ranging between 13.5 < Ks < 15.5 mag inside a radius of 20 arcsin. To confirm the extragalactic nature of these sources, we have obtained near-infrared longslit spectra by Gemini-S+Flamingos2 (GS-2016A-FT-18). We present the preliminary results about the spectroscopic analysis of VVV-J144321.0-611753.9 and the future application of our detection algorithm designed to detect possible extragalactic sources inside the VVV survey.
