Resumen:
The present paper presents the first results of an exploratory research about a franco argentinian initiative crystallized by the beginning of the 1920s: the Institute of the University of Paris in Buenos Aires. This constitutes an appropriate space to analyze the multiple variables involved in the not so inmaterial circulation of theories and intellectual figures across geographical frontiers. In this sense, the present work seeks to contribute elements to explain the persistence of french influence in the argentine academic space, specially in some social sciences branches, even at a time when it began to decline in its global impact, contrasting with american and german advance.
