Resumen:
This paper focuses on the high resolution pollen analysis of one new pollen record from Lake Banyoles (Girona, Spain) and its contextualization with other archaeobotanical records from the La Draga site (charcoal, seed and wood remains), as well as the archaeological record from the area surrounding Lake Banyoles. The aim was to reconstruct the social management of vegetal resources and the impact of these social practices in vegetation evolution. The discussion of the data show that climate may not have been the main cause of the decrease of broadleaf deciduous trees forests, and that the raw material for the construction of the dwellings was the main reason for the large impact documented on oak forest evolution. In that sense, the La Draga Neolithic site occupation (7250-6950 cal BP) would have caused a significant change in vegetation evolution
