Resumen:
With the spark-erosion method we have produced spheroidal particles of an uranium–molybdenum alloy using purewater as dielectric. The particles were characterized by optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy, energydispersive spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. Mostly spherical particles of UO2 with a distinctive size distribution withpeaks centered at 70 and 10 lm were obtained. The particles have central inclusions of U and Mo compounds.
