Magnetic order in amorphous (FexNd1-x)0.6B0.4

We present magnetisation measurements on (FexNd1x)0.6B0.4 (0.25pxp1) amorphous nanoparticles (7 nm) obtained by chemical reduction.Samples were characterised by XRD, TEM and light scattering measurements.Our results show a decreasing in the saturation magnetisation and the coercivity with the Nd composition, evidencing a disorder induced by the Nd that breaks the strong exchange between the Fe atoms. The non-interacting system dinamic is studied by dipersing the powder sample in a non-magnetic matrix.The M(T) measurements show a clear difference for different sample concentrations.
