Resumen:
The Notata s.l. group, of the Paspalum genus, brings together species of forage interest that are morphologically very similar to each other and have different ploidy levels based on x = 10. Chloroplast genomes (plastomes) of six species of the group were studied, from total genomic DNA. Genomic libraries were prepared and sequenced using high-throughput sequencing technology (genome skimming). Clean sequences were assembled de novo using the NOVOplasty program (version 2.7.2) with two kmer sizes (21 and 33 nucleotides). Six chloroplast genomes were assembled, circularized and annotated for the following species: P. barretoi H3025, P. cerradoense RCO&CWFagg2787, and P. cromyorrhizon H1732 with 2n = 2x = 20, P. ellipticum ACM115 with 2n = 8x =80, P. minus V15484 with 2n = 5x = 50, and also, two ploidies of P. notatum H1961 with 2n = 2x = 20 and H2690RB8 with 2n = 4x = 40. The plastomes were annotated and visualized using the GESeq, IRSCREEN and OGDRAW programs. Annotations include genes, pseudogenes, and inverted regions, among others. Genomic analyzes in progress include structural comparisons between genomes, identification regions prone to changes, useful for population studies, and evaluation of types of selection in genes.
