Resumen:
We study the identification criteria of compact groups of galaxies (CGs). Given that the classic criteria depend strongly on the observational properties, the aim of this work is to develop an independent algorithm able to identify physically dense CGs free from observational biases. In this poster, we show the first stage of the work where we study the physical nature of CGs using numerical simulations run with different cosmological parameters combined with three different semi-analytical models of galaxy formation. We developed a 3D CG finder algorithm which uses only the 3D physical properties to identify groups that are physically dense, isolated, and not affected by observational constraints.
