Resumen:
We propose to show how gender, class, and race influenced the construction of Argentina´s media agenda, during the lockdown imposed as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 pandemic. We will focus on the lack of information disseminated regarding the situation of indigenous women stranded in various places in Argentina. We will also concentrate on the campaign #ElDerechoARetornarAcasa, leaded by the Movimiento de Mujeres Indígenas por el Buen Vivir (in English: Movement of Indigenous Women for Good Living) in Argentina, whose purpose was to bring the situation to the media and, in this way, contribute to a solution by the State. With this analysis, we intend to demonstrate the absence in the media agenda of seasonal workers known as swallows ("golondrinas" in Spanish) who cannot return to their homes. For this, we focus our analysis on the publications made on virtual platforms of national newspapers -La Nación, Página|12 and Clarín-. The techniques used in the study were the collection, systematization, and analysis of the corpus. Concerning methodology, we worked with a qualitative approach through media ethnography to observe the characteristics of the publications mentioned. It is reinforced by the topical argumentative approach developed by Ruth Amossy (2000), who uses the notion of doxa to capture those collective beliefs that circulate in society. Also, the published news were analyzed through the historical discursive approach proposed by Ruth Wodak (2003), who incorporates a gender perspective in this type of study.
