Resumen:
What happens when political struggle and scientific controversy converge in the same contentious arena? Through what I term ´scientific activism´, I analyse collective strategies and partnerships among a diverse set of actors involved in three socio-environmental conflicts in Argentina (deforestation, GMOs, water pollution): peasants, neighbours, environmental movements, groups of organized mothers as well as national and international associations of scientists, lawyers and intellectuals.
