E. May and J. A. Partridge. Asshown in many articles this kinetics might yield wrong parameterscharacterizing trap and recombination centers. In this article thiskinetics is compared with the modified general order kinetics putforward by M. S. Rasheedy by analyzing synthetic glow curves. Theresults show that the modified kinetics gives parameters, which aremore reliable than that yield by the original general order kinetics.A criterion is reported to evaluate the reliability of the trapparameters found by deconvolving glow curves. This criterion wasemployed to assess the reliability of the trap parameters of theYVO4: Eu3+ compounds.
