Growth of GdBa2Cu3O7 thin films on single crystalline substrates of Y1xPrxBa2Cu3O7

Superconducting GdBa2Cu3O7 thin films were grown by dc magnetron sputtering on Y1xPrxBa2Cu3O7 superconducting bulk singlecrystals. We optimized the in plane lattice matching with the Pr concentration. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction andelectrical transport experiments. Magnetization hysteresis loops show high values of the critical currents for the films.
