Chromosome Numbers of several orchid species are reported. For the first time is reported the gametic chromosome number and meiotic behaviour at genus levels of Aspidogyne kuczynskii (Porsh) Garay, (n = 21), Brassavola tuberculata Hook. (n = 20), Campylocentrum neglectum (Rchb. f. & Warm.) Cogn. (n = 19), Capanemia micromera Barb. Rodr. (n = 12), Galeandra beyrichii Rchb. f. (n = 27), Mesadenella cuspidata (Lindl.) Garay (n = 23) and Oeceoclades maculata (Lindl.) Lindl. (n = 28). Also, the gametic chromosome numbers and meiotic behaviour is reported for the first time for the following species: Cyclopogon calophyllus (Barb. Rodr.) Barb. Rodr. (n = 14), Cyclopogon oliganthus (Hoehne) Hoehne & Schltr. (n = 32), Cyrtopodium hatschbachii Pabst (n = 23), Pelexia bonariensis (Lindl.) Schltr. (n = 23) and Sarcoglottis fasciculata (Vell.) Schltr. (n = 23 + 3B).
