Resumen:
This paper describes the numerical simulation of a reciprocating steam engine in the solar steam generator installed by the INENCO in San Carlos, Salta, which is producing steam at present. It has been prepared with the SIMUSOL program created in INENCO. The simulation includes both the dynamic performance of the mechanical part and the heat part of the machine. The admission of steam, expansion, exhaust and the compression system are considered in the simulation. The compression and expansion piston, the crankshaft wheel and the inlet and outlet steam are included. The results obtained with the actual physical data of the engine and the steam supplied by the solar steam generator are discussed.
