We present here preliminary results of a photometric analysis of the globular clusters of the galaxy NGC 1700. The detection, for the first time, of clear bimodality in the system is reported. The total population of clusters resulted to be significantly low for a galaxy of the luminosity of NGC 1700, and the possible existence of a low-mass galaxy in the process of destruction in the halo of this object is also indicated.
