Battery model is necessary for both estimationand prediction, which are very important topicsfor battery management systems (BMS). A good model is needed in order to know theonline state of charge (SOC), the state of health(SOH), and the available power. Furthermore, themodel lets to decide control actions forequalization and for battery pack design. A simple model with few parameters becomenecessary to reduce system energy consumptionwhereas meeting real-time constraints.
