Resumen:
Three new mid-Paleoproterozoic (Rhyacian) paleomagnetic poles belonging to the Piedra Alta terrane, Río de La Plata Craton, are presented. They are consistent with paleomagnetic poles previously obtained for the same terrane, which enables to draw a more robust apparent polar wander path of the craton for the ca. 2.1-2.0 Ga interval. This path indicates that the craton experienced a fast polar wander in high latitudes at those times and that the assumed paleogeographic configuration of the Atlantica continent is untenable.
