Since March 2004 as part of the RAPID-WATCH/MOCHA programme we have been monitoring the strength and structure of the Atlantic meridional overturning circulation and heat flux at 26°N. In this talk I will review the measurements made by the array and describe what we have learned about the AMOC and heat flux variability at periods of minutes to years from the first six years of observations.
