Resumen:
A total of 154 adult nematomorphs of five species of Gordiida: Chordodes brasiliensis, Noteochordodes cymatium, N. saltae, N. talensis and Psedochordodes bedriagae were collected during a summer and autumn from El Tala river. Also at the same time, a total of 412 specimens of six species: C. brasiliensis, Noteochordodes achosmosus, N. cymatium, N. saltae, N. talensis and P. bedriagae were collected from El Simbolar stream. Free-living worms were abundant during autumn but their number decreased in summer in both areas studied. In most cases males were shorter and significantly more abundant than females. During autumn and summer larvae of Simuliidae (Diptera) were collected. They were parasitized with Gastromermis sp. and Mesomermis sp. in El Tala River and with Gastromermis sp. and Isomermis sp. in El Simbolar stream. Studies on physical and chemical parameters carried out in summer and autumn showed that El Tala has greater influence on the seasonal variability of the measured parameters that El Simbolar.
