Resumen:
We describe a method for obtaining tight quadratic Lyapunov function-based convergence rate estimatesfor switching converters. This method can be applied to switching converters having a periodic sequence of activemodes, as is the case for most switching converters (e.g. Buck, Boost, Cuk, Z-Source, semi-quasi-Z-source), evenif the duration times of each mode do not form a periodic sequence (i.e. PWM duty cycle is not constant). We alsocompare this results with convergence rate estimates obtained via standard quadratic Lyapunov function analysis andLMI search. Application of the method is illustrated on a numerical example for the semi-quasi-Z-source converter.
