Descripción:
The goal of this brief training was to improve the performance of the air electrode by a compositematerial with a 60:40 % volume ratio of electrode:electrolyte, respectively. SBCCO-SDC composite wasobtained during the synthesis of SBCCO perovskite with the presence of SDC powder. In order to obtain a material with the desired conduction, i.e., a resistance of few ohms, theSBCCO-SDC powders were grinded. Although the ball milling method improved the microstructure ofthe powder, it was not enough. In view of the conductivity results, no method was found with the 60:40%by volume SBCCO-SDC powder. The powder formed did not have the expected microstructure. Thegrains of the powder were agglomerated between them and about ten micrometres in diameter, were toolarge and not porous enough.Pure SBCCO powder was selected for comparison purposes. Microstructural analysis of thispowder showed better microstructure than composite. Ball milling technique in pure SBCCO powder willallow to improve the microstructure.
