Resumen:
Two approaches to lowering SOFC operation temperatures are presented: i) surface exsolution of catalytically active Fe-Ni nanoparticles from Ni-doped Sr(Ti,Fe)O3-δ mixed ionic-electronic conducting electrode was investigated by electrochemicalimpedance spectroscopy (EIS) and synchrotron-based near ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron and absorption spectroscopies (AP-XPS/XAS) while redox-cycling. ii) BaCe0.4Zr0.4Y0.2O3-δ(BCZY) proton conducting electrolyte was studied combiningsynchrotron X-ray diffraction (XRD) and EIS. H+-conductivity range was determined by the H/D isotopic effect on EIS. Neutron diffraction (ND) and quasi-elastic neutron scattering (QENS) revealed real crystalline structure and H+-transport mechanism
