Nanofoams display radiation resistance and offer reasonable mechanical strength for their lowdensity. Experimentally, it has been shown that imechanical properties of nanofoams. We consider the effect of irradiating metallic nanofoaheavy ions and also with energetic nanoparticles.to follow the evolution of the material during irradiation. Cmonitored by simulated uniaxial tension/compressionproduction is analyzed during irradiation and mechanical loading, including surface and porositymodification, dislocations and twins.
