Resumen:
Streptozotocin diabetic rats exhibited less enzimatic activity in isolated Langerhans islets. Experiments shown that the preventive treatment with B1 bradykinin antagonistreduced significantly the diabetic hyperglycemia and normalized the renal function. On the other hand B2 bradykinin antagonist, only correct the renal function. Low levels of NO could be necesary for insulin secretion through a mechanism that involver BK2 receptors protein-seven TM domains which is coupled to G-protein. Since B1 receptor antagonist prevent the diabetic hyperglycemia, the kallikrein-kinin system seems to be envolved in the mechanism of insulitis.
