Resumen:
The spleen of a mouse is an organ with active erythropoyesis under demanding conditions such as acute hemolysis. The objetive of our study was to assess the splenic and hepatic cellularity in Animal Model of Hemolytic Anemia using histological techniques. Anemia was induced by phenilhydrazine (60 mg/Kg) on days 0 and 2 of the protocol. Erythropoietic recovery was assessed using conventional hematological tests (days:0,4,7). Both the spleen and the liver were removed by abdominal incision (days.0,4,7). Both tissues were processed by perfusion and later by fixation with Bouin for hematoxilin and eosin. Splenic and hepatic tissues of the control batch showed uniform cellularity and scarce macrophages. The red pulp in the experimental batch showed erythrocytic congestion, plenty morphology. No changes were observed in the liver. Histology shows morphological changes in the mouse spleen associated to erytropoietic stem cell proliferation and differentiation.
