Resumen:
EVALUATION OF INDIVIDUAL AND COMBINATED ACTION OF ORIGANUM ESSENCIAL OIL AND NISIN ON Listeria monocytogenes GROWTH.This study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial effect of oregano essential oil (O.E.O.) and nisin, individually or in combination, over Listeria monocytogenes.O.E.O. was active against the pathogen in concentration equal or higher than 0.2%(v/v), and presented a synergistic effect when used in combination with nisin in different concentrations.
