Objective: The Addenbrooke´s Cognitive Examination Revised (ACE-R) is an improved version of the earlier brief screening test wich has been validated in English with high sensitivity and specificity to detect early cognitive dysfunction. The aim of this study was to validate the Spanish version of the ACE-R. Participants and methods: a group of 26 patients with Alzheimer Disease (AD; NINCDS-ADRDA criteria) paired by age, sex, and years of education with 28 healthy controls were assessed using the ACE-R. Their cognitive functionin was measured with the Clinical Dementia Rating each patient, as needed for differential diagnosis. Results: internal reliability was very good (alpha coefficient = 0.85).
