Resumen:
Organic livestock producers cannot use conventional anthelmintics to control gastrointestinal nematodes. This situation has led many Canadian farmers to rely on natural products, for which there exist folkloric claims about their efficacy but no scientific proof. The current presentation shows the preliminary results obtained from in vitro efficacy tests carried out using cedar oil and hot-aqueous extractions of Cucurbita pepo, Azarirachta indica, and Ilex paraguariensis against gastrointestinal nematodes of sheep.
