Resumen:
Although some past studies described the flow partitionin a bifurcation (Klienhans et al., 2012), there is still littleunderstanding for some specific cases such asbifurcations on a bend. In general, the previous studies of2D numerical modeling have been solved for bifurcationin straight channels only (Dutta et al., 2018). Thisresearch intends to carry out an approximation of theeffects produced by the location and bifurcation angle ina bend evaluating the trapped efficiency of the secondarychannel. The question to answer is what effect of bothparameters (location or angle) is more important for asecondary channel to remain or to be abandoned. For thatpurpose, it is utilized 2D numerical modeling based onthe Telemac System coupled with Sisyphe sedimenttransport module.
