Resumen:
FishassemblagesrecordedfromAugust2010toJuly2013intwoloticandlenticenvironmentsoftheMiddle ´ periodofstudy,eachwithadifferentmagnitude,durationandtiming.Insteadfourflowpulseswererecordedduringthis period.Thevariedhydrologicalconditionshadaninfluenceontheichthyofauna.Thefishspeciesrichnessinbothlentic and lotic habitatwas negatively correlatedwith themaximumwater level and fishassemblageswere spatially and temporallystructuredaccordingtotheirdifferentreproductivestrategies.Long-andshort-distancemigratoryspecies weredominantafterthefloodpulseofthehighestintensityandlongestduration,whereassedentaryfishandinternal fertilisationprevailedduringflowpulsesandlowerfloodpulses.Fishassemblagesimilaritywasgenerallylowbetween habitatsduringfloodandflowpulses,butincreasedafterthoseeventsdependingontheirmagnitude,durationandtiming. Apparently, flow pulses would also function like floods, as mechanisms of spatio-temporal structuring of fish Parana Riverfloodplainwerestudiedinthelightoffloodandflowpulsevariations.Threefloodpulsesoccurredduringthe assemblages.
