La Florida (33°07?S-66°02?W) is an artificial lake located in an ecotonal region used by a large number of bird species. We studied how the structure of the different plant communities found on the coasts of La Florida affect the diversity of birds during the reproduction period (R) and non-reproduction period (NR). We chose 4 representative sites (A: Lithrae ternifolia forest, B: Acacia caven bush, C: Pinus sp plantation y D: plantation of non native trees with campings, representing predominant vegetal formations. Data were collected from 3 transects (100x30m) and 3 aquatic observation points, with 4 temporal replicas during the reproduction R (Oct-Nov-Dec) and the non-reproduction NR (Jul-Aug) periods of 2001.
