Resumen:
The aim of this study was to survey organochlorine pesticide (OCPs) contamination in silverside (O. bonariensis) from water reservoirs of San Luis center region, Argentina. Samples of silverside from all five water reservoirs exhibited OCPs detectable levels. The range of values (min_max) for each OCPs families in ng/g fat were: HCHs: a, b, g and d Hexachlorocyclohexane  (4.75_4638.13), DDTs: DDD, DDE, DDT and methoxichlor (76.87_6484.62), Cyclo diene group (a) Trans and Cis chlordane, Heptachlor and Heptachlor epoxide (73.65_3692.65), Cyclo diene group (b) aldrin, endrin, dieldrin and endosulfan (34.84_4026.69). In summary, this is the first OCPs contamination report of silversides in water reservoirs from the center region of San Luis.
