In this work, we synthesized a series of cyanide-bridged dinuclear complexes [Ru(tpy)(bpy)(μ-CN)Ru(bpy)2(L)]2+/3+ (tpy= 2,2;6,2´-terpyridine, bpy=2,2´-bipyridine, and L =acetonitrile (-ACN), thiocyanate (-NCS-), dimethylaminopyridine (-DMAP) or water (-OH2)). When the terminal ligand is better donor group (L= NCS-), we observed longer life times.
