Resumen:
Magnetite nanoparticles (MNP) are of special interest in magnetic Hyperthermia treatment. Here 13 nm size magnetite MNP dispersed in aqueous solution (Fe 3O4 a.s) with saturation magnetization of 70 emu/g were synthesized by coprecipitation method. Afterwards they were internalized in A549 cells (derived from human lung adenocarcinoma), using two aqueous solution concentrations 20 and 50 µg/ml. MNP incorporation into cells follows the endocythic pathway. It is observed that MNP quantity inside cells is larger and more densely packed for the larger concentration. Phase contrast, atomic force and transmission electron microscopies were used to visualized the in vitro uptake of MNP by A549 cells.
