Resumen:
Parkinson´s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by theprogressive loss of dopaminergic neurons of the substantia nigra. One of thehypotheses regarding the molecular mechanisms involved in the development of thisdisease postulates that defects in the intracellular transport is an initial event in thepathogenesis. It has been reported that an increase in the expression of á-synuclein isassociated with a higher incidence of PD. However, the underlying cellular andmolecular mechanisms remains to be elucidated.
