Resumen:
The world´s southernmost forests are located on the islands south of the Beagle Channel. These Old Growth Nothofagus forests are some of the least known. Since 1999 scientists at Omora Ethonobotanical Park have been carrying out studies of this unique ecosystem. Park research includes ornithological investigations. These islands contain permanent residents as well as Austral migrants. We report here on our findings so far.
