Resumen:
The long-term occupancy of nesting territories by raptors is well known, especially for cliff-nesting species such as eagles and falcons that have been known to use these places for decades and even for centuries (Newton 1979); such nests sometimes achieve great size (Ellis et al. 2009). Cliffs provide stable nest supports, shelter, and reduced risk of human and predator approach. In many regions, cliff availability is an important limiting factor for raptor populations (Newton 1979). Although records oflong-term occupancy of nesting territories are available for many species of raptors around the world (Newton 1979, Sergio and Newton 2003), little information exists for cliffnesting Patagonian raptors.
