Resumen:
Reverse osmosis technology is an efficient option for arsenic removal from drinking water. Its implementation generates an effluent (concentrate) with well defined physicochemical properties such as high conductivity. In this study we analyzed As adsorption using a lateritic soil as a low cost adsorbent to reduce arsenic content in the concentrate. Results showed a reduction in arsenic concentration of 40 % in the concentrate and that the adsorption process followed a pseudo-second order kinetics
