Resumen:
A methodology for the 30 analysis of marine foundations is presented. The responsein displacements, stresses and pore water pressures is obtained from a finite element coupled formulationimplemented in the GeHoMadrid model. Loads due to wave action on the foundation are obtainedfrom the IHFOAM model tbat salves the three-dimensional Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS)equations using a finite volume discretization and the volume of fluid (YOF) method. Additionally, themethodology includes a Generalized Plasticity based constitutive model for granular materials capable ofrepresenting liquefaction fenomena of sands subjected to cyclic loading, such as those frequently appearingin the problems studied. This metbodology is applied to the study of the response of a caisson breakwaterfoundation.
