Resumen:
Geological storage of CO2 in saline aquifers or depleted reservoirsrequires establishing the degree of safety and efficiency of this storage operation. Todo this, it is necessary to evaluate areas of weakness where CO2 leakage could occurin the vicinity of the injection well. It is important to understand the chemical (C)and hydro (H)-mechanical (M) coupling (CHM) that occurs at the various interfacesof the well. This work focuses on the numerical analysis of the CHM coupling inthe interface rock cover-cement ring with a finite element program. The numericalstudy includes identifying the components of the hardened cement paste through aformulation and its contribution to the CHM behavior of the same in the presenceof CO2. This formulation has been modified to incorporate additions of bacterialnanocellulose and glass microspheres. The results are presented as a function ofchanges in permeability, volumetric proportions molar quantities. The numericalstudy shows the advantage of the use of this type of tools for the study of possiblereal scenarios in CO2 injection processes in deep wells.
