This paper discusses an extension to Generalized Plasticity Theory for granu-lar materials, taking into account state parameter concepts which allow modelling of this mate-rial with a single set of constitutive parameters for a wide range of confining pressures and den-sities. Given the fact that a sand with different initial density shows different behaviour under loading, we hereby suggest a modification of the formulation of dilatancy, plastic module and unit vectors of loading, unloading and plastic flow as a function of state parameter.
