Resumen:
The commercially available agar diffusion NeoSensitabs? method for the in vitro antifungal susceptibility testing of posaconazole was compared with the microdilution method CLSI M27-A3 guideline using 155 clinical yeast isolates of several pathogenic species. Concordance was found between results with both methods when categorized susceptibility was compared. NeoSensitabs? tablets improve the quality and the usefulness of antifungal susceptibility testing by means agar diffusion method. The percentage of agreement was 94.7%. Agar diffusion with PSZ NeoSensitabs? tablets could be an alternative to determine the laboratory susceptibility to posaconazole MIC de 0.103-24h y 0.223-48h.
