Resumen:
In this chapter, we compare the relationships among social movements, the state, and political processes, which made possible legal advances in the area of sexual diversity, while they resisted initiatives at the very heart of feminism, such as draft legislation on the Voluntary Termination of Pregnancy, during the successive governments of the Victory Front (FpV, for its Spanish acronym), led by Néstor Kirchner (2003-2007) and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (2007-2011 and 2011-2015). This case study will allow us to see the points of convergence, rupture, and tension between these successive Kirchner administrations?which described themselves as "progressive"?and the rights of women, gays, lesbians, and transgender persons.
