Resumen:
Fluoroquinolones (FQs), arebroad spectrum antibiotics with high physiological activity, widely used inhumans and animals worldwide [1]. Because more than 75% of FQs administered isexcreted unchanged, fractions not metabolized, remain bioactive and caneventually reach rivers and lakes [2]. Like conventional pollutants, distribution, destination, transport and bioavailability of FQs depend greatlyon the interaction with natural nano-sized systems such as clay minerals andhumic substances (SH). Knowledge of the interactions of FQs with SH is limited. Therefore, in this study the interaction of FQs with humic acids (AH) wasstudied using techniques of absorption and emission of stationary and dynamicregime. The results showed that the interaction between HA and FQs is static innature (K 106 M-1). This indicates a strong association between FQs-AHA, whichcan influence the transport and fate of FQs
