Resumen:
Elderly donors are on the increase due to the urgent need of organs for transplant procedures. Currently the impact of donor age on liver transplantation is subject of debate. Particularly, there is no published data about the use of organs from elderly donors in our country. Objective: Studying the impact of donor age in the clinical outcome of liver transplant (LTx) patients at the Hospital Universitario Fundación Favaloro. Methodology: A retrospective cohort study of 493 LTx (period 2009 -2020) in HUFF was performed. Patients were grouped into different categories based on donor age, ≥18-39 (Young, Y), 40-59 (Adults, A), ≥60 years (Elderly, E).
