A new Faraday force Magnetometer has been developed based on the concept of Sakakibara et al.[1] of a load-sensing variable capacitor for the study of Spin Ice systems. A plastic body allows forprecise temperature measurement as the field is swept, and the inverted movable plate providesmuch smaller separation for the equilibrium position. We report on the performance of this newdesign that can operate in static and alternate mode down to 50mK and up to 15T.
