Resumen:
As a result of increasing environmental pollution, other alternatives for clean and safe energy production have begun to be studied. In this context, ethanol fuel cells have positioned themselves as extremely attractive energy sources. Several materials have been investigated to be used as support for anode electrocatalysts, the most widely used being those based on carbons such as activated carbon. Activated carbon can be obtained using biomass wastes from the agricultural industry. In this work, we studied the use of activated carbon obtained from rice husk as a support for mono and bimetallic Pt and PtRe catalysts to be used in the ethanol electrooxidation reaction.
