Professional practices were carried out through the use of the Moodle virtual classroom. The use of urban plastic waste as raw material to obtain value added products through the pyrolysis process was proposed during these practices. The importance of the accumulation of plastic waste, awareness of the environmental problem and the approach to the problem through the development of sustainable technologies that adapt to the 17 sustainable development goals proposed by the United Nations, framed in a circular economy, in line with the bio-economy point of view and its use as raw material for the pyrolysis process. The teaching team in charge of the training practices has a background in chemical sciences and economics that allowed considering the issues addressed in an interdisciplinary manner, from a social, economic and environmental point of view.
