Ultrasonography is a simple, reliable and non-invasive imagingtechnique without secondary effects. Application of ultrasonographyin veterinary practice, and specifically in smallruminants, has developed to become the most efficient diagnostictool for managing reproduction. The objectives ofcurrent revision are to offer an overview, after a short reminderof equipment and techniques for imaging genitalia in smallruminants, of the uses and utility of ultrasonography for theevaluation of physiological and pathological conditions inmales and females and for the application of assisted reproductivetechnologies.
