Resumen:
In the current work we present the psychometric properties of a new naming test that was entirely developed in Argentina. The most important quality of this test is that the items were selected considering Argentinean psycholinguistic norms, and semantic cues were extracted from Argentinean Semantic Feature Production Norms. Validity evidences and confidence of its scores have been studied by a sample of Alzheimer Disease patients (N = 26) and normative controls (N = 25) in previous works. The present poster presents the first results obtained with focal brain damage patients. Twenty four patients were assessed from a public hospital of Mar del Plata. Evidence of concurrent validity were obtained by means of a correlation analysis with the Argentinean adaptation of the Boston Naming test (Spearman´s Rho = .852; p < .001). Criteria validity was measured by contrasted groups, which lead to significant differences between patients and normative participants (t = 2.246; p = .030). Significant differences were also observed between focal damage patients and the original Alzheimer disease group (Mean difference = 2.606; p = .012) with focal patients showing a better performance. Scores´ confidence was assessed by a test re-test analysis which indicated an stability of the measure (F = .022; p = .886). We also included the level of education as a covariable and observed a significant effect (F = 5.285; p = .039). To sum up, the PAPDI has shown very acceptable psychometric properties in focal brain damage population. This makes it a useful tool to assess patients with naming difficulties with the particularity of being made following Argentinean psycholinguistic norms.
