Resumen:
The outbreak of the Religious Wars in 1560-1562 in a context of severe weakness of the Crown forced the Humanists to take part in them, even putting in risk their own lives and jeopardizing theirs intellectual contexts of reproduction.Radical demonology, theological and political discourse at its height at the time, influenced Humanists interpretations towards the religious, social, political and epistemological schism. In this way, the Platonic Tradition worked as a useful intellectual tool. On one hand, bringing back to life the preternatural Neoplatonic δαίμωνες and their metaphysical foundations; on the other hand, revitalizing the Skeptic Academic Tradition, capable of overcoming the division by reducing some of the dogmatic sacred differences into earthly indifferent contingences.
